Marie Gane | St Thomas, Exeter | 9-16th April | Thank you once again for allowing us to enjoy a restful and peaceful break away. I am glad you enjoyed the last of the lilies, it had been my birthday the day before we arrived and I wanted to bring some of my flowers I had received with me!! The cottage felt home from home, it was clean and tidy when we arrived. – it was so lovely to be remote and only the sound of sheep and birds, very relaxing, just what we were looking for . it was a surprise to find washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, kitchen towel, knives, tea towels, towels, etc I had brought all this with me as unsure if provided – it was just like home from home and made our stay very enjoyable – thank you Our week away was totally relaxing, away from the stress and strains of daily life. Waking up to the sound of birds and sheep was blissful. The cottage was lovely, Alfie settled extremely well (it was his first holiday!) and amazing walks on the door step. The Gower is beautiful and we will definitely be returning. |

Katrina, John & Peggy | Dorset | 20-27 Aug | We’ve had a lovely welcome and a chance to start unwinding – we need another week! It’s so quiet here. The walks and the beach are lovely. The cottage is superbly comfortable & convenient. How well kitted out it is ! It would be great to come again. John loved his perfect paraglide flight above Rhossili ! that meant a lot to him. Tracey Price, Summac and Baize | Rugby, Warwicks | 3-17th September | Long planned two week stay with lots of very helpful emails. With Heather and Dai including having a big Tesco home delivery. With two giant dogs (Akitas) its always a bit scary going somewhrere for the first time (such as will garden be as secure as home eh), Heather Cottage is just perfect – there was nothingneeded. + Sky TV was great bonus. Had some fantastic walks (Parkwood behind Heritage centre is a must) (Dai – Parc de Breos at Parkmill but there is also Millwood in Penrice near Oxwich?) Beach days at Hillend, Great road bike cycling and running routes. Tine & Lewis (with Alfie and Badger) | Worcestershire | 9-15th Oct 2016 | A great week with walks on several beaches in the area, Dai and Heather are great hosts thought of everything. All the locals we have met are friendly and want to chat. Visit the local shop when here they are welcoming (and recommend the cakes and pasties all home made) If got an agile dog then be warned in (internal) corner by gate when in garden as Badger climbed up wall and went to over the top! He didn’t get far thank god! (Dai – internal garden only no way out anyway – but we will now fit a higher wooden gate anyway) Panic set in! other than that we have 2 happy tired dogs and owners. Thanks for warm welcome and good choice of wine Lewis. |
Stephen & carol with Milo | Allensmore, Hereforeshire | 22nd Oct 2016 | Heather Cottage is wonderful. The cottage had everything we needed. The situation is brilliant for walking and we walked all directions. Made it to rhossili and back before dark, explored Whiteford sands and burrows, rambled round Cheriton and Landimore and made church in Llangennith at 10 am on Weds (Left Heather Cottage at 9am). Enjoyed tea and cake at the shop. Recommend meals at the Britannia Inn, Llanmadoc and the Kings Head, Llangennith. Very welcoming at both. Thank you Dai and Heather for the wine, milk, Sky TV, and the tourist information. We appreciated the little touches. Watching the birds in the garden, couldn’t believe we forgot the binoculars! The cottage was always warm and welcoming on our return from the woodburner was an extra for the later evening, Thoroughly enjoyed our week, Thank you very much. |
