21/08/21Sue & Phil JonesBishopston SwanseaThe Walks, The Beaches, The Views. Having travelled only 15 miles from Bishoppston this was like a world away. So peaceful and so underdeveloped and unspoilt, we’ve been to Llanmadoc and North Gower many times but never stayed. It was great to take time to explore the great walks and beaches. We were surprised as to how little we knew the area we will recommend other people to come and stay but we hope noting changes. It is just perfect the way it is. Heather and Dai have been great very friendly but not interfering absolutely fabulous, greatly impressed. Thanks to Heather & Dai

Great cottage with everything we needed. (I would pay a bit extra for a little more welcome pack i.e. milk, bread, butter, coffee, and a little oil in the cupboard for basic cooking). Amazing walks – everywhere – doggy heaven! Fabulous pub  - the Britannia – recommend the bream ! + dog friendly in bar and outside also ate in the King Arthur  - very busy & nice atmosphere – Both pubs need to be booked if you want to eat in the restaurant (at beginning of the week) We have had a very chilled week and the weather was kind to us : -) Special thanks to Dai for the “Taxi service” for our anniversary dinner.

05/06/21Jan & RickManchesterLovely Walk from Llanmadoc Hill. Walk around Broughton Burrows. Sheep Grazing in the lane. A lovely restful stay at Heather Cottage. The weather was great for the first few days then misty on and off for the rest of the week. However that didn’t stop us walking all over and discovering all that Gower has to offer Dan the Whippet was exhausted. Heather Cottage was a super comfortable to come back to and well equipped and the enclosed garden was a great place to sit out and sip a glass of prosecco. Thank you Dai and Heather for a memorable week for our first visit to the Gower but not the last. Jan and Rick.

22/05/21Andie & Ursula SquireHoniton, DevonAlways one of the favourite moments Is driving into Llanmadoc usually passing several local sheep strolling up the road knowing that we will chill out and enjoy our wonderful Gower for a week. Best activities are the simple ones walking along the beach eating at the wonderful King Arthur Pub, at Reynoldston and getting together with our hosts. We have always been made to feel so welcome form the wine in the fridge on arrival to happy times spent exploring something new every-time we come and visiting old favourites like Rhossili. Once simply our hosts Dai and Heather have become so much more over the years Thank you guys xx .

What a lovely Cottage very different from Middle Cottage but as unique. Very well designed excellent facilities, lovely little garden and of course stunning Llanmadoc. What words can express such a “rare” place. Thank you once again to Heather and Dai for all your help and advice. Hopefully we will be back again soon in the new year. We would gladly recommend Middle Cottage and Heather Cottage to any seeking a wonderful retreat I’ve lived in this area and now visit for over 40 yrs. I never ever get tired of such majestic beauty. An ideal place for our 11th anniversary. Thank you once again. Yvonne and Rob Sayer.

We have 120% enjoyed our week stay at the Heather Cottage, finding what we were looking for: tranquillity, relax, long walks, to the beach and surroundings, nature and stunning landscape,. Thank you Heather and Dai for your welcome and advice about what to do in Llanmadoc. We have also loved the “village” – way of life, enjoying shopping in the community shop cakes are horribly highly recommended) & the views from the estuary drinking a tea/coffee by the Cwm Café or just a walk along the streets, where you always meet kind smiles. We will be back. Thorsten , Angel, :: (< a paw print)

Heather Cottage is lovely and cosy Just the right size for the 3 of us had everything we needed + more, loved the bird table spent a lot of time staring out on to the patio watching the birds, we didn’t use the car at all, didn’t have to go anywhere else so many lovely walks around Llanmadoc, had a very tired dog (sorry Dai that she growled at him, she was in a very deep sleep and got startled! Hope we will be allowed back next year !! (Note from owner: yes of course) Can highly recommend The Shop very friendly and great cakes also the Britannia for some very memorable lunches in the words of anrie shwarznegger We’ll be back 😊 (Only one thing would have been good to be able to refill the bird table they eat a lot !) <<Forget this bit just came back from a nice long walk to find the bird feeders full up!!)

Another fantastic week at Heather Cottage  - done more walking this year, seen some wonderful places and views. Siop y Bobl (Village Shop) gets better every year and the Britannia is as excellent as ever. Heather Cottage itself of course is amazing. We love it here, all the comforts of home a perfect holiday escape! Great walks through Cwm Ivy Woods to Whiteford Beach, around Llanmadoc Hill and turning left at the “Farmers Arms” out to the marsh. Tea and |Cakes at Cwm Ivy & Siop y Bobl both excellent. Also if you’re at Llangennith go to Hillend for easy beach access, also great café./bistro, can’t wait to come back next year!! Thanks Heather and Dai hope you both feel a lot better soon !! Andy & Carole. (Note from owner: Dai had pneumonia, Heather had sciatica – all better now!.)

Marie GaneSt Thomas, Exeter9-16th AprilThank you once again for allowing us to enjoy a restful and peaceful break away. I am glad you enjoyed the last of the lilies, it had been my birthday the day before we arrived and I wanted to bring some of my flowers I had received with me!! The cottage felt home from home, it was clean and tidy when we arrived. – it was so lovely to be remote and only the sound of sheep and birds, very relaxing, just what we were looking for . it was a surprise to find washing up liquid, dishwasher tablets, washing tablets, kitchen towel, knives, tea towels, towels, etc I had brought all this with me as unsure if provided – it was just like home from home and made our stay very enjoyable – thank you Our week away was totally relaxing, away from the stress and strains of daily life.  Waking up to the sound of birds and sheep was blissful.  The cottage was lovely, Alfie settled extremely well (it was his first holiday!) and amazing walks on the door step.  The Gower is beautiful and we will definitely be returning.

Val & Jim Porter &  Rielly  (JRT)Salisbury, Wilts11-18th JuneThis has been a very pleasant week in a lovely location, Heather and Dai have done a wonderful job with the cottage with all the “mod cons” and more, the beaches are fantastic, and the scenery dramatic, sadly the weather was not so good but in a way it gave us a different perspective but enjoyful all the same. The local hostelries offer good food with the exception of the Kings Head @ Llangennith.

We’ve had a lovely week, sun shone for a few days, unfortunately the mist is covering Llanmadoc Village Hill today. We have enjoyed lots of walking visiting same old haunts and also discussing new places, walked through Cwm Ivy nice little café with great views down there. Also recommended is the walk from Southgate to Three Cliffs bay. Stunning scenery all around. Nice meals at Britannia & Greyhound. The cottage is superbly comfortable & convenient. How well kitted out it is ! It would be great to come again. John loved his perfect paraglide flight above Rhossili ! that meant a lot to him. Tracey Price, Summac and BaizeRugby, Warwicks3-17th SeptemberLong planned two week stay with lots of very helpful emails. With Heather and Dai including having a big Tesco home delivery. With two giant dogs (Akitas) its always a bit scary going somewhrere for the first time (such as will garden be as secure as home eh), Heather Cottage is just perfect – there was nothingneeded. + Sky TV was great bonus. Had some fantastic walks (Parkwood behind Heritage centre is a must) (Dai – Parc de Breos at Parkmill but there is also Millwood in Penrice near Oxwich?)  Beach days at Hillend, Great road bike cycling and running routes. Tine & Lewis (with Alfie and Badger)Worcestershire9-15th Oct 2016A great week with walks on several beaches in the area, Dai and Heather are great hosts thought of everything. All the locals we have met are friendly and want to chat. Visit the local shop when here they are welcoming (and recommend the cakes and pasties all home made) If got an agile dog then be warned in (internal)  corner by gate when in garden as Badger climbed up wall and went to over the top! He didn’t get far thank god! (Dai – internal garden only no way out anyway – but we will now fit a higher wooden gate anyway) Panic set in! other than that we have 2 happy tired dogs and owners. Thanks for warm welcome and good choice of wine Lewis.
Stephen & carol with MiloAllensmore, Hereforeshire22nd Oct 2016Heather Cottage is wonderful. The cottage had everything we needed. The situation is brilliant for walking and we walked all directions. Made it to rhossili and back before dark, explored Whiteford sands and burrows, rambled round Cheriton and Landimore and made church in Llangennith at 10 am on Weds (Left Heather Cottage at 9am). Enjoyed tea and cake at the shop. Recommend meals at the Britannia Inn, Llanmadoc and the Kings Head, Llangennith. Very welcoming at both. Thank you Dai and Heather for the wine, milk, Sky TV, and the tourist information. We appreciated the little touches. Watching the birds in the garden, couldn’t believe we forgot the binoculars! The cottage was always warm and welcoming on our return from the woodburner was an extra for the later evening, Thoroughly enjoyed our week, Thank you very much.
